For our 4 day valentine/presidents day weekend we bummed around the house and went on a mini vacation to San Francisco! It was so much fun. We got lost and finally found our hotel and we realized that the Fisherman's wharf was literally right behind us. So the next day we walked down and chilled in San Fran. We took a ferry around the bay and went under the bridge and around Alkatraz. We also went to pier 39 and saw all the awesome stuff. Logan spoiled me thoroughly. I got a charm for my charm bracelet. I also got to do something I have always wanted to do. Ya know how they have the little booths and shops set up so you can pick a nasty oyster and keep the pearl?! (Why I have always wanted to do it... I don't know) I picked an oyster and a beautiful rare pink pearl was inside. (It was a Hawaiian pearl shop) And the pink pearl means Love and Beauty. I thought that was so cool that I have a little pearl but then Logan surprised me and said I could pick out a necklace to get the pearl set into. It was a early Valentines present that Logan quickly decided he would get me. So I got my really nice pendant and a chain. And the lady was so nice she let me pick another oyster just for the heck of it. The next oyster had TWO gold pearls. Which mean fertility... And she was like maybe you'll have twins. That would be too crazy for me. So here are some pictures of our crazy fun day in San Fran! Oh wait I almost forgot my horrific attack. How did I forget something that would scar me for life. Logan and I went up on the upper deck on the pier. And we had picked up a snack… yum, churros! And Logan handed me his to hold for him while he takes some pictures. And suddenly out of nowhere a seagull attacks me to steal the churro out of my hand. (Logan saw the whole ordeal out of the corner of his eye) I screamed quite loud and everyone was like, “Hey, did you just see that, the seagull stole that churro right out of her hand and swallowed it in one bite.” The crazy thing was is that the churro was in a wrapper and you couldn’t see it but they knew what it was. And Logan and I just kinda stared at each other and were like… did that just happen?
Pictures, and in no particular order...
Quite emotional when we had to leave his jeep... He wanted to take it home with us.
This Liberty ship was one of the thousands made for WW2 and the invasion of Normandy. And with Logan being in the army we got to tour it for free. Let me tell you... Logan was in HEAVEN! We also went through a sub. VERY compact...

Wow sounds like fun! I love how your pendant necklance turned out! and now you have two pearls for earrings as well! Sounds like you scored. Unfortunately, the seagull seemed to have scored as well! that must have been a little freaky! glad you are getting to spend a little time in my old stomping grounds!
Enjoy!
Mom
